Dining in the Poconos
You will probably want to plan ahead somewhat regarding dining in the
Poconos. The smaller size of the towns combined with the distances means that,
in most cases, you won't be able to just go out and 'find a place to eat'. Of
course, the resorts will have their own dining facilities, many of which are
open to the public.

The Windsor Dining Room at
the Skytop Lodge
Skytop, PaThe Windsor
Dining room is in the Main Building of this grand old hotel. Meals and
service are usually great. You probably want to call ahead for reservations.
While you are there, check out the main lobby and, weather permitting, the

The Lake View Dining Room at
the Skytop Lodge
Skytop, PaThe Lake View
Dining Room is located in the newer building on the lake. You really need a
window seat to get the best views. The dining room has a much lighter and
less formal feel than the Windsor Dining Room.
In addition to the Windsor
Room and the Lake View Dining room, there is a small snack shop in the
basement of the main building which offers some decent dishes. |
