Accommodations in the Poconos

You can find accommodations to suit just about any taste, need or budget ranging from luxurious resorts to rustic campgrounds. 

• Bed and breakfasts  - Bed and Breakfasts are scattered throughout the towns and rural areas of the Poconos. Many of these B&Bs date back to Victorian times. Some are older Federal style homes. A great choice for a romantic getaway.

• Campgrounds - Many of the Campgrounds offer a full range of services including swimming pools, fishing, golf, wireless internet and spa services.

• Motels - For decades, the Poconos was populated with mom and pop Motels. Many of these small motels still exist. Today, you can find chain hotels throughout the region. These offer affordable stays for families.

• Kid's Camps - Camping and the Poconos. Add kids and you have a great combination.

• Resorts and Hotels - There aren't a lot of older, smaller hotels in the area. However, there are a few older resort hotels such as the Skytop Lodge. There are also newer, all inclusive resorts in addition to the Ski Resorts and Golf Resorts

Your best bet  is to decide what type of activities or sightseeing you wish to pursue. Then choose your lodging accordingly. Also consider your dining options. Some areas are more remote than others resulting in more limited dining options. The quality of the smaller family type restaurants can vary greatly.
